The Cavalier Wrestling Club is an officially designated Regional Olympic Training Center. The mission of our Regional Training Center is to recruit athletes with Olympic aspirations to live and train in Charlottesville, VA while we provide them with world class training opportunity and the financial support needed to chase their dream.
What does this mean for UVA Wrestling?
The resident athletes will train in the UVA Wrestling room during scheduled RTC practice times alongside UVA wrestlers (who meet the guidelines set forth by USA Wrestling). Additionally, qualified high school wrestlers will now be afforded the opportunity to train at our RTC as well, per USA Wrestling/NCAA guidelines.
How does the RTC benefit the CWC Scholastic Program?
The resident athletes will be heavily involved in working with the scholastic members of the Cavalier Wrestling Club by running practices and sharing their knowledge and passion.
Please support us as we continue to grow and attempt to reach our goals!
To qualify for our RTC practices, athletes must meet this criteria under “B. Athlete Criteria.“
The Spring 2026 RTC Schedule will be posted on our social media accounts.
